This Privacy Policy explains how Valvia ("Valvia", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website and services (together, the "Services"). We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
1. Data we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email address, mobile number and any information you include when you contact us.
- Payout details: the UPI ID or bank account details you provide to withdraw cashback, and verification details where required to prevent fraud.
- Transaction data: information that partner stores and affiliate networks share with us about purchases made through Valvia links, such as store name, order reference, order value, date and status. Stores do not share your payment card details with us.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use your data
- To track purchases made through Valvia links and credit the right cashback to you
- To process withdrawals and verify payout details
- To respond to your questions, missing cashback claims and grievances
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the Services
- To send service messages about your rewards and, with your consent, updates about offers (you can opt out at any time)
- To measure and improve the Services and, with your consent, our advertising
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Consent and legitimate uses
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you use the Services or submit information to us, and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as complying with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, but we may be unable to provide cashback without the data needed to track and pay it.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- Partner stores and affiliate networks, using an anonymised click reference, to track and validate purchases
- Payment service providers and banks, to send your payouts
- Service providers who host our website, send emails or provide analytics, under contracts that require them to protect your data
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and users
5. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Account and transaction records are kept while your account is active and for up to 8 years after closure where required for tax, accounting or legal purposes. Contact messages are kept for up to 3 years. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limited staff access, to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your login details private and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed
- correct, complete or update inaccurate data
- request erasure of data that is no longer needed
- withdraw consent
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
- raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

8. Children
The Services are intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-party websites
Valvia links take you to partner store websites and apps, which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, so please review their policies.
10. Grievance Officer
For any concern about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at support@valvia.in, 322, Saidulajaib, New Delhi, India. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email.
